The Monaco Grand Prix weekend is nearly here and this year's edition marks 10 years since one of Michael Schumacher's final great moments in Formula 1.

The 7-time world champion is considered by many as one of the greatest drivers in the sport's history, with him producing a number of unbelievable moments during his career.

Indeed, it was at Ferrari where he had his biggest successes before leaving the sport in 2006, though that wasn't the end of his F1 story.

Michael would return in 2010 with Mercedes and stayed in the sport for three seasons until the end of 2012, though he'd not be able to add another race win or championship to his respective tallies.

He did, though, still provide moments of magic and few will ever forget his run to P1 at the Monaco Grand Prix in qualifying back in 2012, in what was a reminder there was still huge talent and ability in him.

Brushing the barriers and making adjustments with one hand whilst steering with the other, Michael attacked Monaco with as much zest as he would have done in his prime, and went fastest of all come the end of the session.

Unfortunately for him, a penalty carried over from the previous race meant he didn't get to start the Grand Prix itself from the front row, and that may well have cost him one last victory in the sport.

Even so, the lap itself was incredible and will go down in F1 folklore as Schumacher rolled back the years.
