Last night during a huge ROH Tag Title match between FTR and Roppongi Vice, both teams were met by unfamiliar guests.

Roppongi Vice looked as if they were going to secure the victory and become new ROH Tag Team Champions, but a pinfall breakage from Cash Wheeler left all four men incapacitated in the centre of the ring.

This gave an opening for NJPW's Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan to take to the ring. Cobb and O-Khan would focus their attention on the ROH Tag Team Champions FTR but also on Roppongi Vice, making a statement to the tag team division as they planted Trent as well as Dax Harwood through tables.

Cobb and Great-O-Khan are commonly known for being a part of the United Empire stable alongside Aussie open's Mark Davies, Kyle Fletcher as well as T.J Perkins and led by Will Ospreay.

O-Khan and Cobb are no strangers to tag team gold, with both men having held the IWGP Tag Team Championships once during their time in the United Empire stable.

Their appearance is quite fitting considering that AEW X NJPW's crossover event Forbidden Door will be taking place at the end of next month. This is the first glimpse into a potential AEW and NJPW rivalry since the announcement.

The appearance of United Empire members also circulates rumours about the potential appearance of the leader of the United Empire and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay.

Ospreay has never stepped foot inside an AEW ring but his name has been speculated for a dream match scenario alongside that of the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito and Hiroshi Tanahashi.
