Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte went toe-to-toe with each other recently in a bout which saw the former come out victorious.

The Gypsy King made history in his home country in front of 94,000 people at Wembley Stadium last month. In his second title defence, he scored a ferocious uppercut which caused a sixth-round stoppage.

What's interesting is to hear the conversation from both corners throughout the fight to hear the insight of their coaches as the fight progresses.

Sugar Hill Steward, Fury’s trainer, can be heard predicting the champion’s KO punch during the opening round.

As the bell rung to signal the end of the first round, Sugar Hill said to Fury: “That shot down the middle. Just take your time because he’ll fall right into it.”

It only took one round for Fury’s trainer to identify a weakness in Whyte’s game and ensured the fighter knew about this potential opening.

The brutal blow that finished the fight was just as advised by Fury’s corner, which is very impressive.

A lot of words coming from Whyte’s corner was for him to stay alert and remain composed throughout the fight as they knew what Fury was capable of.

At the end of round two, Whyte’s head coach Xavier Miller commented on him not defending himself at all times.

He said: “You need to get your defence tighter. When you throw your jab, you’re dropping your right hand. Every time.”

It was clear that his trainer was frustrated with his performance in the opening exchanges. However, on the other side of the ring, things couldn’t be more different.

Every interaction between Fury and Sugar Hill was calm and relaxed as they both knew that Fury was in control of both fighters in the ring and that he could capitalise when he wanted.

Sugar Hill said at the end of the fourth round: “Start letting the bombs go. Good, clean bombs let them go. You ain’t gonna win without them.”

Tyson ended the talk with: “I’m boxing the head off him”.
