It's going to be all change at Manchester United this summer.

The Erik ten Hag era is dawning after a thoroughly forgettable season that saw the club slip further off the pace in both Europe and on domestic shores.

United were truly difficult to watch at times this last, suffering some of the more humiliating defeats they've ever suffered in the Premier League.

The club looked completely rudderless, lurching alarmingly towards the end of the season.

Shipping four goals at Brighton was undoubtedly the nadir of the year, but there were so many other moments that would be best forgotten.

There is no doubting that ten Hag has a massive job on his hands as he bids to restore former glories at the Theatre of Dreams.

His first port of call will be clearing out the so called deadweight which, in and of itself, could prove to be quite the undertaking.

In fact, so sweeping may the clear-out be that you could actually build an entire XI of players who are said to be flung out the Old Trafford exit door.

The folks over at TransferMarkt have put together what can only be described as one of the most underwhelming teams ever.

An XI of players reportedly set to leave Manchester United

GK: Dean Henderson

LB: Brandon Williams
CB: Phil Jones
CB: Eric Bailly
RB: Aaron Wan Bissaka

Credit: TransferMarkt

CM: Nemanja Matic
CM: Paul Pogba
RM: Jesse Lingard
LM: Juan Mata

ST: Edinson Cavani
ST: Anthony Martial

Now, it's important to highlight that none of these are, as of yet, confirmed departure but merely players that have been the subject of numerous rumours.

However, that aside, the fact that United boast such a wealth of unwanted playing staff still makes for a rather alarming realisation.

Ten Hag certainly has his work cut out for him, but, once he has cleared the canvas and done away with the players he has no plans for then the new era can truly begin.
