Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross has pulled off a sensational catch during the team’s OTAs.

The Kansas City Chiefs have all the makings of a modern-day dynasty on their hands right now, having made it to the conference championship each of the last four seasons, two Super Bowl appearances and one Super Bowl victory.

When you have someone as talented as quarterback Patrick Mahomes leading the way and a brilliant head coach in the form of Andy Reid in charge of everything, then becoming as dominant as they have been was always going to be pretty easy to achieve.

However some of the credit has to go down to the team that they are assembling and have put together over the years, such as the explosive Tyreek Hill at wide receiver, who they traded away this offseason.

Although in his absence, they are trying to recreate him in the aggregate, signing the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman in free agency, whilst also grabbing Skyy Moore in the 2nd round of the 2022 NFL Draft to name but a few.

However, it could be one player who slipped under the radar in the form of Justyn Ross that could turn out to be the most impressive, especially if he can pull off moves like this.

Who is this guy?

Justyn Ross arrived with the Chiefs this past offseason as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson University where he had something of a disappointing but productive spell with the Tigers.

Having racked up 1,000 receiving yards in his first season there, he wasn’t able to replicate it moving forward, only picking up 865 yards the following year, before missing 2020 through injury and grabbing just 514 yards in his final season.

But there was clearly something in him that the Kansas City Chiefs liked, so they took him off the market.

Making a name for himself

With so much competition for places and catches in this Kansas City team given the number of weapons they have, you need to do a lot to stand out from the crowd in order to get your shot, and that’s exactly what Ross did with this incredible one-handed catch during OTAs:

It was a catch so good that you even had teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce unable to contain themselves on social media afterward:

It’s certainly one way to make a name for yourself, let’s see if it puts him in good sted moving forward as the summer moves on.
