Kurt Angle, in the eyes of many, is one of the best WWE Superstars ever.

Angle was brought into WWE after winning gold at the Olympic games, and less than a year after his 1999 debut, was already WWE Champion.

He's been around the industry for quite some time, only retiring in 2019, and has shared the ring with some of the best wrestlers ever.

As such, his opinion on his colleagues carries a lot of weight, so it piqued interest when he named his Mount Rushmore of WWE Superstars.

On his podcast last month, Angle named the four wrestlers he considered as the best ever, with some notable omissions.

Angle selected AJ Styles, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels as the four best WWE Superstars ever, leaving out the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker and Triple H.

I wouldn’t put AJ up there by himself. I think Shawn Michaels, and Chris Benoit, and Eddie Guerrero deserve to be up there to.

Choosing the four best wrestlers was always going to mean that Angle had to leave out some people's GOATs, but his ommissions will have shocked some people, there's no doubt.

Right now, AJ Styles is locked in a feud with fellow former WWE Champion and all-time great Edge.

The pair have had two matches thus far, and are expected to have another soon featuring Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan and Finn Balor.

Just a few months ago, The Undertaker named his Mount Rushmore of WWE Superstars, and like Angle, also had some exclude some top names. You can read his selection by clicking here.

Speaking of Mount Rushmore, current Raw star Seth Rollins also named his selection earlier this year, including John Cena, and you can also read his picks in full by clicking here.
