Tottenham target Fraser Forster is set to join Antonio Conte's side this summer, according to Tom Barclay of The Sun.

The Southampton goalkeeper has been identified as someone who can provide cover for Hugo Lloris, and Barclay is confident the north London club will get their man.

What is the latest news involving Forster?

The Daily Mail recently reported that Forster has completed a medical at Hotspur Way ahead of a move to Tottenham.

The 34-year-old is available on a free transfer, with his £70,000-a-week Southampton contract expiring next month.

This season, Forster made 19 league appearances, managing to keep just the three clean sheets as Ralph Hasenhuttl's men went on to finish 15th in the table - just five points above the relegation zone.

His game time is set to drop at Tottenham, however, with the Englishman only being brought in to deputise for Lloris.

What has Barclay said about Forster to Tottenham?

Barclays has told GIVEMESPORT that Forster is definitely leaving St Mary's this summer and is almost certain to join Spurs.

Speaking to GMS, The Sun journalist said: "He played really well against Spurs a couple times. Who knows? Maybe it's a factor in the Tottenham move, which I'm very much expecting to happen. He's definitely leaving. I'm pretty sure he's going to Spurs."

Who else could join Forster at Tottenham?

If reports are to be believed, then up to five more new faces could join Forster at Spurs should he arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as expected.

As per The Telegraph, Conte wants Daniel Levy to make six signings this summer, with new defenders, midfielders and forwards all being lined up on top of Forster.

At the back, Alessandro Bastoni, Gleison Bremer and Djed Spence have all been mentioned, while James Ward-Prowse and Kalvin Phillips are thought to be the midfield targets.

Up front, The Telegraph claims that Tottenham want Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus but face competition from their north London rivals Arsenal for his signature.

All in all, it could be a very exciting transfer window for Spurs fans, who will be hoping to see more than Forster arrive this summer. And with a recent £150m cash injection, provided by majority shareholder ENIC Sports Inc, they should get their wish.

Will it be enough to help the club close the gap with Manchester City and Liverpool? Only time will tell, but with this sort of backing, Conte should be able to keep his side in or at least around the top four.
