Fans name WWE's 'most overrated' Superstars

It’s fair to say that WWE fans over at TheTopTens were brutal when it came to placing certain Superstars in the overrated category.

Compiling a list of Superstars who they deemed overrated, a top 25 of all time have been identified and it holds some massive names in the industry.

The list features the likes of John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Triple H and Ric Flair.

With number one being the most overrated, here is the fan list as to who the most overrated Superstar is.

One fan commented: “I think he (Hardy) is an amazing wrestler and talent, but I feel people mainly love him for his great looks more than his high flying talent.”

CM Punk’s inclusion on the list seemed to cause a real divide.

One fan commented: “PUNK! Are you serious? He made the wrestling industry relevant in 2011 for a little bit, one of the best promo cutters ever what a joke.” 

Whilst another said: “I can’t see how people still chant his name. Sure he is OK, but he is NOT the best. Plus, he isn’t too nice out of the ring.”

The Undertaker finds himself at 20, with fans agreeing with the spot: “The Deadman is totally overrated.” 

Randy Orton finds himself in the top 20 at 18. He is a 12-time world champion, having held the WWE World Championship eight times and the World Heavyweight Championship four times.

Despite being ranked 17th on the list, fans believe that Brock Lesnar should be placed higher: “Since 2015 he has become so overrated.”

Even though he has won two WWE titles, the WWE fanbase feel as if Roman Reigns is overrated and deserves to be in the top 20.

Daniel Bryan sees himself in the top 15, with one fan saying: “He didn’t deserve to be in the main event of WM30. He lost at Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.”

Placed 14th on the list, the Ultimate Warrior was known for his appearances on World Wrestling Federation from 1987 to 1991.

Banks, Goldberg and Ambrose also see themselves ranked within the top 15.

Hollywood superstar Batista sees himself ranked in the top 10.

Shane McMahon, who is a minority owner of the WWE, sits number eight on the list. 

Ric Flair sees himself ranked in the top 10. Flair is currently signed to the WWE under a legends appearance contract.

The top five is filled with recognisable superstars of WWE. 

Well-known film star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson sees himself at number five, with Triple H just ahead in fourth. 

Kevin Nash has been voted as the third most overrated Superstar in WWE history. He is best known for his time with World Wrestling Federation under the ring name Diesel, and World Championship Wrestling under his real name.

Second on the list is Hulk Hogan, who is well known across the sporting community. 

At number one, John Cena has been voted the most overrated Superstar in WWE.

So far in his career, Cena has won 24 championships, with 15 reigns as a world champion.

Many fans agree with the fact that Cena has been voted the most overrated WWE Superstar of all time.

One commented: “Honestly, this guy can’t wrestle! Hate him with all my heart.”
