Real Madrid were crowned Champions League winners on Saturday evening after overcoming Liverpool.

Real went into the game as slight underdogs, despite beating Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City en route to the final.

They managed to pull off another seismic scalp as they beat Liverpool 1-0 in Paris.

The Reds had 24 shots on goal, but Thibaut Courtois thwarted them on numerous occasions.

Real, in contrast, had just four shots on goal, but they made the most of their limited opportunities as Vinicius Jr scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute.

Many fans thought they were tuning into the game but were in fact watching a game of Pro Evolution Soccer.

Twitter account @VibesFoot posted a screenshot of the match, which was streamed on YouTube, with the caption: "More than 2000 people watch a stream, thinking they are ahead of the Champions League final."

Those who were watching the game probably thought it was the most entertaining match ever given it was 4-3 to Liverpool after just 38 minutes played.

YouTuber user Gameplay Bola Zise also posted a video of the Champions League final simulated on Pro Evolution Soccer.

The video has attracted over 130k views at the time of writing, with numerous comments cheering for either Real Madrid or Liverpool.

It was also a nine-goal thriller, with five goals in the last 10 minutes. You can watch it below if you really want to...

Those that actually watched the PES game thinking it was the real thing must have been gutted after realising they had been duped.

Real have now won an incredible 14 European Cup titles after beating Liverpool.
