Sadio Mane has decided to leave Liverpool this summer, per journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano wrote on Twitter: "Sadio Mané has decided to leave Liverpool this summer.

"He’s ready for a new experience after many special years with Reds - it will be confirmed to the club.

"FC Bayern are strong contenders - but it’s still open and not completed as Sadio wanted to wait for the final."

It appears Mane's last game for Liverpool was in the 2022 Champions League final.

Mane played the full 90 minutes in Paris as the Reds fell to a 1-0 defeat.

Mane joined the club in 2016 as he signed in a £34 million move from Southampton. He was one of the first big signings made by Jurgen Klopp.

The Senegalese international has been integral as Liverpool have established themselves as one of the best clubs in world football once again. He played 269 times for the Reds, scoring 120 times.

He has helped Liverpool win six trophies in the six years he has been at the club.

Mane, now 30, is still one of the best players in the world.

He is one of the favourites for the Ballon d'Or after a stellar 2021/22 campaign, where he led Senegal to Africa Cup of Nations glory and helped Liverpool win the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Whoever he joins, Mane has established himself as a Liverpool legend and he will always be highly thought of by fans of the club.
