Gervonta Davis has confirmed he will stay with Floyd Mayweather after knocking out Rolando Romero in the sixth round.

Romero, also known as 'Rolly', fell headfirst into the ropes after taking a huge left hand to the head that left him with his legs akimbo.

He gingerly got back to his feet but the referee waved it off after he was unable to walk in a straight line.

Davis, dubbed 'Tank', racked up his 27th straight win in the ring, including stoppages against ex-champions Leo Santa Cruz and Yuriorkis Gamboa, since he turned professional in 2013.

There had been fears that the former IBF super-featherweight champion, 27, would leave Mayweather Promotions after the fight but he has now said he is going nowhere.

Davis told FightHype.com: "Still Floyd Mayweather Promotions, baby.

"Still with Floyd Mayweather Promotions.

"I love you, Floyd Mayweather Promotions."

Reacting to his stunning victory over Romero, Davis said: "I was just trying to figure him out, catch his range and see how hard he hit.

"I knew he was going to run into something because his focus was to throw everything hard.

"He tried to throw his brick hand I think and I just moved out the way and caught him running in.

"I knew that I could outthink him easily. I knew I was going to outbox him. I thought I was going to not knock him out but wind up stopping him in the late rounds.

"But he ran into the shot. He ran into the shot."

Meanwhile, Davis' promoter, Leonard Ellerbe, who was spotted talking to Ryan Garcia in New York, claimed his lightweight rival 'don't want none of that smoke'.

"Ryan doesn't want to fight Tank, come on man," he told FightHype.com.

"You got guys out there like Mannix who try to pump him up like he's some killer.

"Like I said, Ryan Garcia, he's a good fighter, I've got nothing but respect for him, but he don't want none of that smoke.

"He don't want none of that smoke because if he did he would make Golden Boy do it.

"I've tried on two occasions. Some of the reporters seem to forget when they say that, 'Oh, Tank Davis don't want to fight none of the top fighters', but then they say that Ryan Garcia is a top fighter.

"But, hey, we know what it is."
