The final week of Liverpool's season proved to be a bit of a damp squib as they narrowly missed out on the Premier League title and were beaten by Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League. It would have been a bitter pill to swallow for players and fans alike who had been dreaming of immortality when that historic quadruple remained within touching distance. However, Manchester City's incredible comeback on the final day, followed by some remarkable Thibaut Courtois heroics in Paris, saw Liverpool end the season with two trophies instead of four. You can imagine the mood in the camp would've been a somber one, especially when you consider the fact that Liverpool had more than enough chances to put the Paris finale to bed.So, after a week of incredible disappointment, you can imagine that a trophy parade, less than 24 hours after Paris, might have fallen flat. What they got, however, was the exact opposite.LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - MAY 29: Kostas Tsimikas, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino and Thiago Alcantara of Liverpool celebrate on the team bus during the Liverpool Trophy Parade on May 29, 2022 in Liverpool, England. Wow!"You can see the brilliant moment, among others, in the clips below:

Astonishing - even after the crushing lows of the last week, the fans made sure to show their appreciation for what has been a quite incredible campaign.

Liverpool fought on all four fronts available to them right until the last kick of the season and, despite falling short in the Premier League and Champions League, deserved all the praise they got.

After 63 gruelling games, we think they've earned a well-deserved break.
