The football season has come to a close, which means that the attention has already turned to the goings-on in the transfer market.

There is expected to be a wide array of business taking place over the next few months, from deals with free agents to those eye-watering figures being passed around for some of the best players in the world.

At the time of writing, the most notable deal that has already taken place is the purchase of Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland making the move to Manchester City, and we are expecting to see plenty more as the 2022/23 approaches.

Clubs such as Newcastle United are expected to be busy with their new owners facing their first summer window, having spent over £90m back in January. Spurs could be just as active thanks to the £150m added to their transfer kitty by club owner Daniel Levy.

For Manchester United, new manager Erik ten Hag will be monitoring the window closely as many expect him to revamp his squad to get the Red Devils competing once more.

This summer has already been very interesting as several players have moved after long stays at certain clubs. One of those individuals is Liverpool forward Sadio Mane. The attacker moved to Bayern Munich.

This was a good move for the Bavarian giants, as top goalscorer Robert Lewandowski looks left the Allianz Arena to join FC Barcelona

Liverpool moved quickly to replace Mane and signed the highly-rated Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.

Who is expected to move?

Newcastle is looking at Everton frontman Dominic Calvert-Lewin to bolster the Magpies' forward line. They have also been heavily linked to Leicester City playmaker James Maddison.

The Foxes could also lose another midfielder in Youri Tielemans. The Belgian has been linked with a move to Arsenal. Chelsea are now confident that they can beat Manchester United to the signing of Frenkie de Jong.
