Jiri Prochazka is set to challenge for the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion at UFC 275, and he recently discussed what he “has to change” ahead of his attempt at the gold.

Glover Teixeira stands between Prochazka and the 205-pound crown, and he comes into the contest on Saturday 11th June 2022 for the first time since winning the title from Jan Blachowicz back at UFC 267 in October 2021.

This main event contest between Prochazka and Teixeira should be a slugfest in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and fight fans are hopefully in for a hard-hitting treat!

Here’s what Jiri Prochazka had to say ahead of his UFC Light Heavyweight Title challenge at UFC 275 against Glover Teixeira on Saturday 11th June 2022.

Jiri Prochazka vs Glover Teixeira

Speaking to MMAFighting, Prochazka revealed what he feels he “has to change” to get the best possible outcome for the contest.

He said: “I have to change this style, especially in the ground, especially in the wrestling. That’s why I drilled that with Henry [Cejudo] and then back in the Czech Republic with my coaches.

“Everybody knows my strong weapon and my weakest weakness. That’s why I start to drill that [on the ground]. That’s why I’ve started to prepare the dangerous techniques in that, and I believe in myself in that much, much more than ever.

“I’m glad for that to have an opponent like Glover. Because he gave me the opportunity to prepare myself in these styles, to be better and better.”
