Zhang Weili is set to return to the octagon at UFC 275, and she recently addressed the claims from her rival Rose Namajunas that she would help to train her opponent Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the fight.

Weili and Jedrzejczyk will be competing in rematch from arguably the greatest fight in the history of the company, and many fans are eagerly anticipating the Women’s Strawweight Bout.

The rivalry between Weili and Namajunas does not appear to have subsided however, as the latter is even willing to help others to defeat the Chinese MMA star.

Here’s what Zhang Weili had to say in reaction to Rose Namajunas offering to help Joanna Jedrzejczyk fight her at UFC 275.

Weili Zhang on Rose Namajunas

Speaking to Chinese media (translated and transcribed by zhangweili_xiaopang), the Women’s Strawweight fighter discussed the recent offer from Namajunas to train Joanna ahead of UFC 275.

She said: “Well, if I’m Rose, I would not do something like this. Because Joanna has her own team. ATT (American Top Team) is a very professional, elite team. They produced many champions and you go interfere at this point that’s a little bit. I don’t know what she’s [Namajunas] trying to do.

“Does she think Joanna’s team is not good enough or what? I don’t know. I definitely would not do that in her shoes.”

It is likely that the winner of Zhang vs Joanna will go on to face Carla Esparza for the UFC Women’s Strawweight title after she defeated Namajunas for the gold earlier this year.
