Vinicius Junior's 2021/22 season with Real Madrid was simply magnificent.

After a few years of flattering to deceive in the famous white jersey, the Brazilian winger well and truly exploded into life, scoring and assisting goals for fun.

Across all competitions, Vinicius finished with 22 goals and 20 assists to his name, including the winner in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Due to his on-pitch brilliance, the former Flamengo man has seen his market valuation over on Transfermarkt rise a considerable amount over the course of the 2021/22 campaign.

Vinicius takes top spot and his shiny new value of £90 million makes him the joint-third most valuable footballer in the world, behind only Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.

If the Brazilian continues to light up stadiums around the globe in the 2022/23, he will almost certainly have entered into the £100 million and above bracket by this time next year.

The £38.70 million Real Madrid coughed up to sign the 21-year-old in 2018 now looks like an absolute bargain, doesn't it?
