There’s no doubting that Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the greatest to ever take part in the UFC.And the Russian has shown that he’s still got it and that he would still be a match for anybody in the Octagon. The Eagle retired with an impressive 29-0 record and he is a former lightweight champion. He has had to constantly shut down rumours about possibly coming out of retirement but his latest work in training proves that he is definitely still in shape. His primary work during his time out of the Octagon has been with Eagle FC which is the promotion he started following his retirement.During his fighting career, Khabib was one of the most dominant forces in the sport and his final three fights were memorable performances against some of the biggest names. His biggest fight was certainly the 2018 meeting with Conor McGregor where he won via submission during round four.He followed that up in September 2019 by destroying Dustin Poirier in Abu Dhabi with a rear-naked choke submission.Justin Gaethje was the last man to face the impossible task of competing with Khabib and he probably wishes he didn’t agree to the fight. The encounter was all over during the second round with Khabib winning via a technical submission. The Russian announced his retirement post-fight as he felt like he achieved everything he wanted too in the sport. It seems retirement hasn't slowed him down as a clip emerged of Nurmagomedov training with Luke Rockhold - it’s safe to say that the 33-year-old was getting the better of his good friend.

The retired man can be heard saying: “I’ve missed you, brother”, to the American as he put Rockhold through his paces.

The 37-year-old then returned to his feet before Khabib then chases him into the corner of the room and drags him back to the mat.

The Eagle FC owner is regularly seen working out with American Kickboxing Academy team-mates.

Even in retirement, however, Khabib has proven that he is still the master and if he ever did return to the sport, don’t be surprised if he dominated again.
