Facundo Pellistri: Man Utd fans react to winger’s superb assist for Uruguay vs Mexico
Manchester United fans would like to see more of Facundo Pellistri ahead of the 2022-23 season following his excellent assist for Uruguay vs Mexico on Thursday night.
Pellistri, 20, is yet to make his competitive debut for Man Utd after joining the club from Penarol in October 2020 for a reported €10 million fee.
However, the talented South American has already scored for the Red Devils, netting in a 2-1 pre-season friendly win over Derby County last July.
Pellistri has since spent the season on loan with La Liga outfit Alaves but was unable to prevent the team from finishing bottom of the table.
Despite that, the young winger may have given United boss Erik ten Hag some food for thought with an impressive showing in Uruguay’s 3-0 victory over Mexico in Arizona.

He produced a magical assist at the start of the second half, displaying his skill, pace and strength to burst down the right wing before teeing up Edinson Cavani to score.

It will be fascinating to see if Ten Hag does give Pellistri an opportunity to prove himself in pre-season.

They will also play Atletico Madrid before the 2022-23 Premier League season gets underway.
