Nottingham Forest are back in the big time.Having not graced England's top-flight in the 21st century despite their legendary status as two-time European Cup winners, they're finally back where they belong for the 2022/23 campaign.Forest put more than two decades of heartbreak behind them when they secured Premier League promotion via the Championship Play-off Final, defeating Huddersfield Town 1-0 at Wembley.

Forest reach the promised land

And now that the champagne has dried on the dressing room floor, the Nottingham club must turn their attention to ensuring that their Premier League return doesn't simply pass them by.

As such, there will be plenty of work for Steve Cooper and his coaching team to conduct over the summer to ensure that their squad is as strong as possible to take on the country's biggest sides.

And one of those key decisions could well revolve around the future of Lyle Taylor, who is known to casual football fans for having one of the most eye-catching penalty techniques in the sport.

Will Taylor stay at Forest?

Taylor moved to the City Ground in 2020 and has gone on to play more than 50 games for the club, but actually finished the 2021/22 season out on loan with Birmingham City.

Nevertheless, Taylor was back with the Forest squad in a supportive capacity for the Play-off Final at Wembley, joining in with the celebrations having still played 19 times for the club in 2021/22.

The Montserrat international wrote on Instagram page earlier this week: "A slightly different role in a playoff campaign… But the same outcome! 3 for 3. What a day to be a Red!

"It seems everyone in red enjoyed their day at Wembley… Finally a day @officialnffc deserve! Not a pretty game, but a well drilled team willing to run through brick walls for each other and the 40k #TrickyTrees cheering them on. A proud, proud day… YOU REDS!!!"

Now, while it remains to be seen whether or not Taylor will be a Forest player next season, the reality of the situation is that he could indeed be representing them in the Premier League.

According to Football League World, Taylor still has one more year on his contract, so it's not from without the realms of possibility that he'll be helping Forest to make this next big step forwards.

Taylor's 'most disrespectful penalty technique'

And that means what Copa90 quipped to be the "the most disrespectful penalty technique" in football could be coming to the world's best male league.

The 29-year-old has gone viral more than once for his alarmingly-effective method of strolling up to the ball like he's got all the time in the world, before stroking his effort past the goalkeeper.

If you thought that Paul Pogba's old approach of taking about 10 years with his run-up was taking the mickey, then you haven't seen Taylor's effort because it really does take the biscuit.

And when you consider that there's a possibility of seeing it on the biggest stage of all, you'd be remiss not to prepare yourself by checking out Taylor's technique in all its glory down below:

So, sure, it seems more likely than not that Taylor will wave goodbye to Forest this summer, but the mere possibility of one of his penalties gracing the Premier League is enough to get us excited.

Let's face it, there would be something so cheeky and patronising about seeing Taylor put away one of those spot-kicks past Alisson Becker, Ederson or David de Gea. Do it for the giggles, Forest.
