WWE has seemingly scrapped the Roman Reigns v Riddle match they had planned for Money in the Bank.

Just last week, WWE announced that Money in the Bank (July 2) had been moved from Allegiant Stadium to the smaller MGM Grand Arena.

As well as that, the promotional material for the show had changed, with Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar removed from the graphic.

It seems like this should have been a sign for this to come, as reports now indicate that Reigns will likely not be wrestling on the show.

Last month, reports suggested that Reigns was set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal title at Money in the Bank against Riddle.

This would have set up a match later that month at SummerSlam with Randy Orton, and a match with Drew McIntyre in September at Clash at the Castle.

However, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Riddle will be teaming with Shinsuke Nakamura to face The Usos for the tag team titles at Money in the Bank instead.

As of midweek the plan was for the title match to be on the 7/2 Money in the Bank show in Las Vegas. If that’s the case, that would mean the original main event scheduled for that show, Riddle challenging Roman Reigns for the double title, wouldn’t happen.

There's always a chance that WWE has Riddle wrestle two matches on the show, and they could also find a new opponent for Reigns.

However, the report does state that WWE was still undecided on whether or not Reigns will wrestle at Money in the Bank.

If he doesn't, his first defence of the title will be at SummerSlam on July 30, 118 days after becoming double champion.
