Karim Benzema scored another fantastic goal for France against Denmark in their Nations League match on Friday evening.

The Real Madrid striker has been on fire this season and he gave Les Bleus the lead six minutes into the second half.

And what a brilliantly taken goal it was.

Benzema picked up the ball on the right-hand side and played a one-two with Christopher Nkunku.

The 34-year-old striker then showed great feet to evade three defenders before rolling the ball into the corner with his left foot.

Yet another piece of brilliance from Benzema.

That was his 50th goal for both club and country in the 2021/22 season. He's also scored in each of his last five games for his national side.

After leading Real Madrid to both La Liga and Champions League glory, it would be a travesty if he wasn't the winner of the 2022 Ballon d'Or.

Benzema's goal wasn't enough for France, though, as Denmark produced a dramatic late comeback.

Andreas Cornelius came off the bench on the hour-mark and netted the equaliser eight minutes later.

The Danish striker then netted his second with two minutes of the match left to go.

Cornelius ran onto a through ball and rifled his effort into the roof of the net while under pressure from William Saliba.

There wasn't enough time for France to grab an equaliser as Denmark held on to clinch a shock 2-1 victory at the Stade de France.

Austria beat Croatia 3-0 in the other game in Group A.

France are next in action against Croatia on Monday, with Denmark travelling to Austria on the same day.
