The 2022 Formula 1 World Championship heads to Baku this weekend for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, as round 8 of the campaign is held at one of the more recent additions to the calendar.

It's a circuit that has thrown up plenty of drama over the years, with last year's race proving one to remember as both Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton ended without points and Sergio Perez took his first Red Bull race victory.

The Mexican will be hoping for more of that this weekend, then, as he aims to get himself back-to-back race victories for the first time ever after winning in Monaco last time out.

How will the weather impact things, then? We take a look now...

Friday

A warm, dry weekend is expected in Baku with very little chance of rain currently forecast over the three race weekend days.

On Friday, highs of 27C are predicted with some cloud cover but a 0% chance of rain as things stand.

Saturday

On Saturday, things will remain warm and dry with highs potentially up to 28C and sunshine breaking through the clouds.

Saturday has a 10% chance of rain currently being forecast, and that's actually the highest percentage for the whole weekend so it seems safe to assume it's going to be a dry one in Baku.

Sunday

Sunday sees more settled weather and potentially the warmest day of the weekend play out with the sun breaking through and highs of 29C being predicted.

There's a forecast of 0% chance for rain, too, and so it appears the weather isn't going to play too much of a part in any drama this weekend.

Baku, though, often creates its own storylines and so there's plenty to still be excited about this weekend.
