It was a season to forget for Marcus Rashford and Manchester United. The Red Devils spent the campaign lurching from one disappointing new low to the next and, had it not been for Cristiano Ronaldo, would have sunk to unthinkable depths. They crashed out of Europe, the domestic cups and were out of the running for the title far sooner than they should have ever been.Considering the fevered hope that was brewing amid a raft of exciting new signings at the beginning of the season, it's difficult to fathom how United could possibly have gone on to hit such a low ebb. There were forgettable campaigns across the board with only David De Gea and the aforementioned Ronaldo able to hold their heads up with pride from among the ashes of the season. For Rashford, in particular, it proved to be a truly stormy time.LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - APRIL 09: Marcus Rashford of Manchester United reacts during the Premier League match between Everton and Manchester United at Goodison Park on April 09, 2022 in Liverpool, England. It seems that Rashford is leaning into that fresh hope as he looks to get himself into the best possible shape for the beginning of the Erik ten Hag era.

If his latest Instagram activity is anything to go by, it seems he has given himself quite the head start after posting footage of himself in the gym.

Rashford is looking in fantastic shape as he sung the praises of the benefits of a break before getting back down to the nitty gritty of preparing for a new season.

There can be no doubting that United will need Rashford to at least resemble something of his best if they wish to be back challenging for trophies and the top four.

If he can find his finest form again, then it could be an exciting season at the Theatre of Dreams.
