Liverpool ended the season on a string of lows after losing out on the Premier League to Manchester City in agonizing last-day fashion. They also failed to bring home the Champions League in Paris after a Vinicius Jr goal brought the illustrious trophy back to Madrid.

Despite this, Jurgen Klopp's men had a terrific campaign. They won both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, whilst also featuring in every single game they could possibly play in - which is quite remarkable. Fans are excited to see what the future holds for Liverpool and who could potentially be recruited for the reds, which is why pre-season could be so important to identify gaps or showcase some new faces.

A tough start for Jurgen Klopp's men as they lost 4-0 in Thailand to bitter rivals Manchester United.

Goals from Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Fred and Facundo Pellestri were enough to secure the rout for the Red Devils.

Liverpool got the first victory of their pre-season tour against Patrick Viera's Crystal Palace side.

Goals from the skipper Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah were enough to see them off in Singapore.

The Reds then jetted off to Germany where they thrashed German powerhouses - RB Leipzig.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring, before new-boy Darwin Nunez absolutely stole the show in the second half, bagging himself four goals and silencing all of his critics.

From one Red Bull Arena to another, Liverpool lost 1-0 to Austrian side Salzburg in a disappointing performance.

But they did manage to get a win when it mattered! Liverpool picked apart the Premier League champions to win 3-1 at Wembley, with new boy Darwin Nunez scoring the goal that all but secured things.

To conclude pre-season, Liverpool lost 3 - 0 to Strasbourg, but the majority of the kids played - so they won't be too disheartened.
