Everton are still interested in signing Chelsea duo Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher this summer, says transfer insider Dean Jones.

Broja and Gallagher, who are valued at £76.5m combined by the CIES Football Observatory, have both been linked with moves to Goodison Park, though Jones expects the former to be the much more attainable target.

What is the latest news involving Broja and Gallagher?

According to the Daily Mail, there is a race right now for Broja's signature, with West Ham, Newcastle United and Everton all involved.

The young striker has caught the attention of the aforementioned clubs after his loan spell with Southampton during the 2021/22 season, where he scored nine goals in all competitions.

Gallagher's temporary stint at Crystal Palace did not go under the radar either, as the Daily Star claims that West Ham and Everton want the England international as well.

Toffees manager Frank Lampard, though, will be hoping his Chelsea connections can give him an advantage, something Jones has spoken about before with regards to Broja.

What has Jones said about Broja, Gallagher and Everton?

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that Everton remain interested in the Chelsea pair, with Broja likely to be on the market this summer.

Speaking to GMS, the transfer insider said: "There's no actual change since the end of the season, but they're still interested. I think there's, to be honest, a certain expectation that these players that were on loan last season won't actually make the cut at Chelsea.

"Gallagher's got the best chance, but we have to wait and see how much of an opportunity he actually gets in pre-season and whether he can convince [Thomas] Tuchel to stay in and around that squad, but Broja is more than likely to be on the market and available."

Will Broja and Gallagher be a part of Tuchel's squad next season?

Tuchel confirmed at the end of May that both players would return for pre-season. However, since then, there has been talk about Romelu Lukaku leaving Stamford Bridge and Chelsea buying a new striker to replace him.

Such a development, watching another big-name forward arrive at the former European champions, could easily convince Broja to leave again and perhaps this time for good.

The same could apply to Gallagher if Chelsea bring in another midfielder, but whatever they do in that area this summer, it looks like there will be room for the 22-year-old.

According to football.london, Tuchel has confirmed to the England star that he will not be a bit-part player at the Bridge, so perhaps a big role could be in store for him.

So while it looks like Gallagher will be staying in west London, Broja could be leaving, with a move to Everton seemingly an option.
