Following the culmination to his feud with Bobby Lashley, details have emerged on what’s next for WWE’s Omos.

At this past Sunday’s Hell in a Cell, Lashley defeated both Omos and manager MVP in a handicap match, thanks to a little help from Cedric Alexander and it seems as though that is the full stop on the pair’s rivalry that began just before WrestleMania.

Lashley has now turned his attention to winning championship gold, with both US Champ Theory and Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal Championships in his sights. While, as we saw on Raw last night, Omos looks to be going in a rather different direction.

The Nigerian Giant clashed with a returning Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode during Monday’s show, chasing the Dirty Dawg’s backstage following a super-kick from Ziggler to MVP.

The segment might have been seen as a rather random collection of Superstars, however, the reasons behind the new feud have been explained by Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio

According to Meltzer the reason behind putting Omos with the former tag team champions is because he’s being training regularly with Bobby Roode.

Omos has been working a lot with Bobby Roode, so I guess it’s just a way to get Omos in the ring with those two guys who are very good wrestlers and give him more experience working with guys that are good.

Despite Omos’ defeat to Lashley, there remains big interest in the 28-year-old and it seems to make sense to place him in a programme with two reliable hands in Ziggler and Roode.

The Dirty Dawgs return on Raw was the first time we’d seen either of them on television since Ziggler lost the NXT Championship to Bron Breakker on the Raw after WrestleMania in April. They now look like they’ll be used to enhance the growing reputation of MVP’s latest client.
