Sadio Mane is an incredible footballer, but he may well be an even better person.

Back in February, we gave 11 examples of Mane proving he's one of the nicest footballers around.

And we have another example to add to the list.

Prior to Senegal's match against Benin on Saturday, Mane was involved in a wholesome meeting with a Senegal fan.

Mane is a hero in his country and a Senegal fan was overcome with emotion after meeting him.

While crying tears of happiness, the fan said, per Empire of the Kop: “Sadio, I love you so much. I even reached out to the people from your village just to meet you. Sadio, may God grant you a long life and fill you with health”.

Mane then pulls out a piece of paper and asks the fan to write down his number and promises to call him later.

It was a truly lovely moment and you can watch it below...

Mane proceeded to score a hat-trick as Senegal and won 3-1.

Footage has since emerged which appears to show Mane fulfilling his promise and phoning the fan after the game.

What a man Mane is. It's impossible to hate him.

The 30-year-old's future at Liverpool is up in the air with Mane believed to want a move away.

Mane made some comments last week where he said the majority of Senegal fans want him to leave Liverpool and he will do as they please.

But he has since stated that he was joking and declared his respect for Liverpool.

"I spoke yesterday while joking with a bit of humour and it was everywhere," Mane said, as quoted by journalist Cissokho Sahel, per the Daily Mail.

"I think we'll stop there. Liverpool is a club I respect a lot. The fans adopted me since day one. Regarding the future, we'll see."

If Bayern, or any other team are able to complete a deal for Mane this summer, they will not only be getting a world-class footballer but a fantastic human being as well.
