Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, unsurprisingly, have registered more goals and assists than any other player throughout the last decade.

The formidable duo have been bossing the scoring charts and cleaning up the Ballon d'Or winners list for many a year now, but their dominance is not as unwavering as it once was.

Robert Lewandowski has been putting up numbers that rival them for the best part of five years.

Whilst as you'll see from this list below, Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema don't come too far behind when it comes to matching their attacking returns - at least in some ways anyway...

After all, those two were often the players providing the assists for the two modern kings when all plied their trade in Spain.

And where do the Premier League stars stand in all of this? Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane aren't shy of contributing with goals and assists themselves, both of whom have been Fantasy Premier League kings thanks to their vibrancy in-front of goal.

Check out the full standings below.

The 10 players with the most goals + assists in Europe's top five leagues since 2012/2013

8. Ciro Immobile (Lazio) - 187 goals + 44 assists = 231 total contributions
7. Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich) - 105 goals + 128 assists = 233 total contributions
6. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Barcelona) - 196 goals + 46 assists = 242 total contributions

2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) - 298 goals + 76 assists = 374 total contributions
1. Lionel Messi (Paris-Saint Germain) - 311 goals + 135 assists = 446 total contributions

Messi is the stand out and he's quite comfortably clear of the rest of the pack, despite his shoddy season for PSG. Incredibly, he tops both the goals and assists category.

Ronaldo comes in second, but he's actually closer to Lewandowski in third than he is to the Argentine.

The Polish striker falls just 16 goals short of Ronaldo's tally, however the Portuguese icon is far clear of him when it comes to assists which de-bunks the myth that CR7 doesn't create.

Suarez's magnificent all-round tally of 233 goals and 91 assists leaves him just four contributions shy of Lewandowski. He did in fact occupy third place up until the end of this season.

Whilst the final position in the top half is held by Real Madrid's Benzema. His return of 59 goal contributions in 2021/2022 is better than any other player in Europe.

And finally, our current Premier League stars, Salah and Kane, can manage just ninth and tenth place.

In fairness to them, they aren't as old as most of this list and weren't putting up impressive numbers in their late teens/early twenties, so did a good job to even make the final order.
