A compilation video of the unreal pre-fight tour for Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor has recently surfaced online, courtesy of @shannonsharpeee on Twitter.

The famous crossover between the two sports of boxing and UFC came in 2017 when the respective sports’ two most famous fighters decided to enter Mayweather’s arena of the boxing ring and go for 12 rounds to determine who was the best fist fighter in combat sports.

The best combat for the fight arguably came before the bout itself, with the pre-fight tour gaining widespread attention due to the deeply personal and entertaining war of words that the American and Irishman dished out to each other.

A recent compilation video has summarised all of the best bits into a concise four-and-a-half minutes, in which the quick witted Irishman mocked the boxer’s age and height, made a reference to a common myth that Mayweather cannot read and mocked the immaturity of Mayweather’s fashion and behaviour.

Meanwhile, the American donned an Irish flag and called his braggadocious opponent “Easy work”, having already comfortably fended off 49 previous challengers with no losses before facing the boxing novice in McGregor.

Billed as ‘The Money Fight’, the two athletes arguably flexed their financial muscles in dispute with each other more than actual sporting trash talk. McGregor was picking at Mayweather’s ‘Money’ nickname, in highlighting the boxer’s financial difficulties with the IRS, and even pulled some money out of Mayweather’s bag to humorously tease “That’s it?”, to the laughter of the crowd.

The video also includes the verbal assaults that the members of the fighters’ teams received, with McGregor famously calling Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza a ‘weasel’ and Floyd’s bodyguards ‘juice-head monkeys’.

The fight itself did not garner so much success for the MMA fighter as he had received in the pre-fight verbal battles, with Mayweather winning comfortably by a 10th-round TKO in the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada, to extend his professional record to a record-breaking 50-0.
