Speaking during an interview before WWE Hell in a Cell, Damian Priest revealed some of the other names suggested for Judgement Day.

During an interview with TV Insider, Priest revealed that Judgement Day wasn't the only name pitched for the group, which was formed by Edge at WrestleMania 38.

Along with Judgement Day, names such as Grand Jury and The Saints of Fate were suggested for the WWE Hall of Famer's faction:

The Judgment seemed like what we are doing, which is judging. Grand Jury was one of them. The Saints of Fate; but ultimately, The Judgment Day felt right.

Priest went on to explain why he liked the name Judgement Day, explaining that he was a fan of the fact it was a throwback to the old WWE pay-per-view.

It also used to be a pay-per-view, so it’s a throwback as well. We liked it a lot. I’m glad it worked out.

Edge reacted several WWE ideas for Judgement Day

Edge rejected several WWE ideas for Judgement Day

Judgement Day went through some pretty massive changes during Monday Night Raw this week, in case you missed the news.

First, Edge announced that Finn Balor was the newest member of the faction, joining Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest.

That was somewhat surprising in itself, but the most shocking part came when Balor orchestrated an attack on Edge, removing him from the group.

Reports state that Edge is now a babyface again in WWE, which you can read more about by clicking here, and he's now likely to be off TV for some time.

Speaking of Edge and Judgement Day, it has emerged that he rejected a rather divisive pitch made to him for the group, which you can also read more about by clicking here.

There is no word when Edge is going to be back on TV, but you'd have to assume that WWE will want him back for SummerSlam at the end of July.

Some had speculated that WWE was going to have Edge be part of the men's Money in the Bank ladder match on July 2, but that is almost certainly not going to happen now.
