Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is attracting "genuine interest" from Roma, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The right-back's Old Trafford future is currently in doubt and Jones believes the Europa Conference League winners are serious about bringing him to the Italian capital.

What's the latest news involving Wan-Bissaka?

According to The Sun, the ex-Crystal Palace ace wants to sign fresh terms at Old Trafford, with his current deal expiring in two years, but the 24-year-old has been told to wait to find out whether he's set to be part of Erik ten Hag's plans following his recent slip down the pecking order.

Wan-Bissaka was United's first choice right-back for his first couple of seasons after making the £50m move, but his drop off in form last term saw Diogo Dalot to move ahead of him.

As a result, he featured just 20 times in the Premier League and started only seven games from December onwards, which has led to uncertainty over his future.

A return to Palace on loan has been mentioned, although Jones believes that a switch to the Stadio Olimpico, which would see him link up with ex-United boss Jose Mourinho, could also be on the cards.

What did Jones say about Wan-Bissaka?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "At a time when there aren't many genuine paths for Wan-Bissaka, I'm hearing that there is genuine interest from Roma so that could be an interesting one that would help Ten Hag make space in an area that needs improving quickly."

Would Roma be a good move for Wan-Bissaka?

Everything about a move to Roma should appeal from Wan-Bissaka's point of view.

Not only would he be playing under a manager that will know him well from his time in English football, but the likes of Chris Smalling and Tammy Abraham have recently proved that moving abroad could do wonders for getting his career back on track.

Smalling has been a regular for the best part of three seasons in Rome following his struggles at United, while Abraham banged in 27 goals in his debut campaign in Italy after losing his place at Chelsea.

Furthermore, Roma's victory over Feyenoord in the inaugural Europa Conference League final means they'll be in the Europa League next season, the same competition which United will be playing in.

With all of that in mind, should the chance arise, it's one that Wan-Bissaka should seriously consider.
