Tottenham target Bremer is a "really exciting player", according to Italian football journalist Conor Clancy.

Antonio Conte is looking to bolster his back line this summer, and is keen on bringing the 25-year-old defender to the Premier League.

What's the latest news involving Bremer?

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham are willing to spend €50m (£43m) on Bremer, who has two years remaining on his contract at Serie A side Torino.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told Tottenham fan Chris Cowlin's YouTube channel, via HITC, that Inter Milan are "leading the race" for his signature.

He has also revealed that Bremer would prefer a move to Inter at this stage, as he would like to remain in Italy.

Conte wants Bremer, though, and with Tottenham set to miss out on Alessandro Bastoni, Italian journalist Gian Luca Rossi has claimed that Conte has now made the Brazilian his number one target.

What has Clancy said about Bremer?

Clancy has claimed that people are only just starting to wake up to how good Bremer is, and has hailed the defender's development in recent years.

Speaking about Bremer, Clancy told GIVEMESPORT: “He’s a really exciting player. Sometimes players come through and they’re a little bit under the radar, and then suddenly everyone just realises: ‘Who’s this guy? He’s amazing.’ I think Bremer could be like that after he makes his next move.”

How good is Bremer?

Bremer's performances over the past 12 months have highlighted that he is a hugely talented centre-back.

According to FBref, he has ranked in the 99th percentile for aerial duels won and blocks, the 98th for interceptions and pressures, and the 96th for clearances when comparing him to central defenders in Europe's top five leagues.

Despite playing for a mid-table team in Torino last season, his performances simply couldn't be overlooked, and he was voted Serie A defender of the year.

Tottenham signed a highly-rated centre-back last summer in the shape of Cristian Romero, and he has thrived in England.

If they can beat Inter to the signing of Bremer, Conte could have a very strong back line on his hands heading into the 2022/23 season.
