COD Warzone 2: Leaker Reveals Teased Map in MW2 Trailer

Warzone 2

Even though the Caldera map for Call of Duty: Warzone was only announced a few days ago, leaks show that developer Infinity Ward is already working on the map’s successor.

While Warzone players await the arrival of Warzone 2, a recent leak suggests that a third full-size Warzone map is currently in development for a 2022 release.

Verdansk is beloved by Warzone players, and sadly they still miss this map despite Warzone’s new Pacific map Caldera being released at the end of 2021.

If this leak is to be believed, this isn’t the only new map Warzone will receive. Another new Warzone map is rumoured to be coming with Modern Warfare 2 in 2022, and it may be incredible.

Below is everything we know about the teased map in COD Warzone 2 that was leaked.

Teased Warzone Map in MW2 Trailer

As the Call of Duty Warzone 2 and Warfare 2 games slowly approaches, the excitement in players is evident. Modern Warfare 2 will be more than just Infinity Ward’s latest entry into the long-running military shooter game Call of Duty when it launches on October 28th 2022. It’ll also usher in the series’ next generation, dubbed COD 2.0 internally.

Modern Warfare 2’s game engine will power not only single-player, co-op, and multiplayer modes, but also the franchise’s upcoming battle royale game, Warzone.

A massive leak has just revealed a ton of information on the Modern Warfare 2 campaign and story.  According to the leak, a new Warzone map based on Modern Warfare 2 will be released in 2022. This will be set in the desert and will be created using a combination of MW2 maps and brand-new POIs.

This map will also reportedly include a new level of verticality that players can access via a ladder field upgrade, as well as other improvements such as destructible environments.

Finally, the leak says that in 2022, a ranked mode may be added to the MW2 Warzone map. For a variety of reasons, players have long wanted a ranked Warzone game option.

It would not only help to resolve all of the issues with SBMM in Warzone, but it would also provide gamers with something to aim for.

Let’s hope this leak is true because a Modern Warfare 2 Warzone map would be well worth the wait till 2022.
