Modern Warfare 2 VR

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was officially revealed on Wednesday of this week, with its first official gameplay trailer hitting the internet.

There has subsequently been a goldmine of information revealed about the game, which is set to release in October of this year.

Charlie Intel, the verified Call of Duty news source, posted a dump of information on Wednesday, revealing a huge amount of details around the game’s campaign.

They were privy to a number of campaign missions and posted a great deal of details, hinting towards the game’s globe-trotting story, which will pick up where Modern Warfare left off.

The first mission revealed was called Nightwar, in which “you play as Soap and team with Ghost to clear out enemies after a friendly chopper is downed. Demo ended with a RPG hitting your location.”

They carried on with their thread, adding that there is another mission titled Wet Work, which “took place in Amsterdam, as players traverse through a water side port in a stealthy battle to find a cartel operating and assisting enemies.”

Another, titled Tower, “showcased Repelling features, and this mission let players pick how to repel down a building – either toe down or toe up.”

The fourth mission Charlie Intel was shown was titled Convoy, and “took place in Mexico, and showcased the new vehicle combat, where players fight through vehicles for the mission. This briefly showed climbing on cars, jumping from car to car, and leaning out of windows.”

There is also said to be a mission that takes place in Spain, where players will wear ghillie suits and fight alongside Captain Price. That one sounds familiar!

It’s a huge amount of information and it remains to be seen exactly how long the campaign will be, but most Call of Duty campaigns tend to clock in at six hours or so.

We’re excited to get our hands on the game and start playing the campaign, as we’re sure you are too!
