Gavi is an absolute baller. Pass it on.It's staggering to think that the Barcelona prodigy is still only 17 years old because it already feels as though he's been spreading his magic around Spain for months upon months.Ever since the pipeline of La Masia greats like Andres Iniesta, Xavi and Lionel Messi started drying up in the early 2010s, the Blaugrana have been waiting for a player like Gavi to come along.

The rise of Gavi

It remains to be seen whether he'll ever reach the heights of the Barca legends that we've just named, but there's no denying that he's got all the ability required to become a world-class midfielder.

And one of the clearest indicators of just how much ability Gavi has in his boots is the remarkable amount of faith that Luis Enrique has invested in him as part of the Spanish national team.

The midfield starlet has only actually completed one full season of professional football, but is already bearing down on 10 caps for La Roja despite playing in one of its most competitive positions.

We are, after all, talking about a nation that has Rodri, Thiago Alcantara, Sergio Busquets, Pedri, Koke, Marcos Llorente and Saul Niguez amongst others to call upon in the heart of midfield.

Gavi shining for Spain

But when Gavi continues to prove himself every time he pulls on the Spain jersey, notching his first goal for his country against the Czech Republic this week, Enrique simply has to keep selecting him.

And the Spain coach was hardly given a reason to change his mind when Gavi was once again picked from the start for a UEFA Nations League clash; this time on the road against Switzerland.

That's because Barcelona's 'next big thing' yet again showed the type of composure on the ball that you'd expect from a player with five, 10 or 15 years more experience than him at the highest level.

Gavi's unbelievable composure

And he did so by showing nerves of steel with an incredible piece of skill in and around his own penalty area, before effortlessly transitioning into midfield and eventually drawing a foul.

In a heart-stopping couple of seconds, Gavi casually looped the ball over the head of Xherdan Shaqiri and then went about his business by defeating Granit Xhaka with some slick dribbling.

To do so anywhere on the pitch is impressive, but to show the nervelessness to pull it off so close to your own goal at 17 years old takes the mickey, so be sure to check out his stellar skills down below:

A massive future ahead of him

Look, Gavi still has a long way to go when it comes to a consistent end product and churning out goal contributions by the dozen, but the sheer talent that he's showing at age 17 is simply frightening.

It's one thing to come through the ranks at Barcelona and another thing entirely to essentially nail down a place in the Spain squad immediately, not looking an iota out of place in the process.

And it's in moments like his unbelievable composure on the edge of the penalty area when you really get a sense that Gavi is just channelling the pure joy that he clearly has for the beautiful game.
