Tottenham will not be signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Antonio Conte's side have been linked with the Argentina international three years after his move to north London collapsed, but Bridge has ruled out Dybala moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

What's the latest news involving Dybala?

When Dybala, described by Roberto Carlos as 'world class', announced earlier this summer he would be leaving Juventus, it put Tottenham on alert, especially when he hinted that he would like to play in the Premier League.

Furthermore, the Daily Mail believe the 28-year-old was actually offered to Conte earlier this month, although Spurs rejected his services, with his wages around £280,000 per-week.

Dybala, who's scored 144 goals in his club career, now looks set to stay in Italy, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Inter Milan are working on a deal to sign him, which should finally put to bed the possibility of a switch to north London.

But even before Dybala edged closer to a move to San Siro, Bridge completely ruled Tottenham out of the running, citing to his recent injury record as a potential concern.

Since the beginning of the 2020-2021 campaign, he has missed more than 35 games across all competitions with various muscle problems.

What did Bridge say about Dybala?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "One player we can rule out is Dybala. I spoke to someone at Tottenham, and they said that ship has sailed. Dybala has had a lot of injuries in the last 18 months, and I would worry about his injuries in the Premier League."

Which other attackers could Tottenham sign?

While Dybala isn't an out and out striker, it's clear Conte wants to sign an understudy for Harry Kane to ease the workload on the England captain, who looks set for another gruelling campaign in a World Cup year.

According to Football.London, Conte and Fabio Paratici have drawn up a shortlist of strikers they want to sign.

That list includes Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak, Darwin Nunez, although he could now sign Liverpool, Patrick Schick and Lautaro Martinez, who's been of interest to Spurs in the past.

Tottenham are also keen on Gabriel Jesus, although signing a striker is likely to be harder than ever, with whoever comes in knowing their game-time will be limited unless Kane gets injured.
