Wolves are "open to offers" for Raul Jimenez this summer, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

The £100,000-per-week striker signed a contract extension at Molineux less than two years ago, but his struggles on the back of his serious injury could lead to him being moved on.

What's the latest news involving Jimenez?

Since his arrival following Wolves' promotion to the top-flight back in 2018, Jimenez has been a brilliant servant for the Midlands outfit and has since become the club's all-time top Premier League scorer.

In his first two seasons in English football, the 30-year-old scored 13 and 17 goals respectively, but since suffering a fractured skull against Arsenal in November 2020, his form hasn't been the same.

As a result, Jimenez, who's racked up 40 league goals in total for Wolves, found the net just six times last campaign in what proved a year of difficulties for the striker.

TalkSPORT recently reported that Wolves could be willing to sell the frontman for just £15m, which is half of what they paid Benfica for his services when buying him permanently in the summer of 2019.

And Crook believes that Jimenez's goalscoring form last term might be the reason why they're prepared to lose one of their key players.

What did Crook say about Jimenez?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I do know they're open to offers for Raul Jimenez, because they maybe feel he's not been the same player since that horrible injury."

Is it the right time for Jimenez to move on?

Jimenez's impact at Wolves simply cannot be underestimated, with the Mexican playing a pivotal role in the club not only staying in the Premier League, but also qualifying for Europe and reaching the last eight of the Europa League.

However, Wolves' slide down the standings in the second half of last season was partly down to Jimenez's goalscoring woes.

Given what he went through with his sickening head injury, his loss of form was completely justified, but with Bruno Lage recently stating that Wolves have a 'massively important' rebuild on their hands this summer, freshening up their squad will be key to ensuring that happens.

Therefore, providing they receive a reasonable offer for Jimenez, then moving him on could be best for both parties.
