UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko will be defending her title at UFC 275 against Talia Santos, but the 125-pound titleholder is also targeting a contest with an MMA legend down the line.

Ahead of UFC 275, Shevchenko is 8-0 in the weight class, and she looks to continue clearing out the division when she faces Santos in the co-main event of UFC 275.

Shevchenko is the heavy favourite heading into the contest, and whilst it’s dangerous to overlook the opponent in front of you, ‘Bullet’ has her heart set on a major contest with a Women’s MMA legend down the line.

Here is what Valentina Shevchenko had to say about her next bout ahead of her title defence at UFC 275 on Saturday 11th June 2022.

Valentina Shevchenko on UFC legend

Speaking to James Lynch ahead of UFC 275, the Women’s Flyweight Champion revealed that she wants to face Miesha Tate.

She said: “I would love to and definitely it’s going to be the main event for the pay-per-view. I would love this fight to happen, so let’s go, let’s go.”

Tate is scheduled to be making her debut in the Women’s Flyweight division as part of the UFC 276 card against Lauren Murphy.
