Five Frenchmen have now cost €100 million or more, which is quite extraordinary really.

To put that into perspective, only 13 players in history - including Tchouameni - have been acquired for a six-figure fee when the euro is used as the currency.

The most expensive transfer of all is Neymar, who cost PSG an eye-watering €222 million back in the summer of 2017.

But don't bet against a club coughing up a larger amount for a French player in the near future...
