After her shock announcement on Friday that she’ll will be leaving WWE, former Divas Champion Paige has revealed she is ready to wrestle again.

On Friday Paige released a statement on Twitter detailing her departure from WWE when her contract expires on July 7th. Ending a decade-long association with the company.

The 29-year-old noted that her neck injury that forced her to retire from active competition in 2018 had made it ‘pretty hard’ for WWE to keep her under contract for as long as they did, and heaped praise and thanks on the for her time with the company.

In an update to her announcement, Paige spoke during a Twitch stream over the weekend and confirmed her in ring status following the parting of the ways from WWE.

When asked a question about her health the ‘Anti-Diva’ said she was the healthiest she’d ever been, and despite not being cleared to wrestled, she believes she’d be back in the ring.

I feel like I can compete again, yeah. 1000%.

The Norwich native also reiterated her appreciation for everything WWE has done for her, with a hint of regret that a role wasn’t found for her following her surgery and retirement.

I'm appreciative of WWE. I really am. They helped me so much they got me a therapist when I had drinking and alcohol issues. They kept me a long time even after my neck surgery, sitting on my ass. I felt like I had so much left to give there as someone who can cut a decent promo and do a managerial role. It is what it is.

Paige signed with WWE in 2012 and went on to be the first-ever NXT Women’s champion. She would later move to the main roster and made one of the most impactful debuts in the company’s history. Making her first appearance the night after WrestleMania XXX and beating AJ Styles to become the WWE Divas Champion.
