Fans have been quick to praise Sebastian Vettel after he produced one of the highlights of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix by performing a remarkable manoeuvre.During Sunday’s race at the Baku City Circuit, the Aston Martin driver was able to completely avoid a collision whilst still maintaining his momentum instead of coming to a complete stop. The incident occurred on the long straight of lap 13 after he powered past Esteban Ocon. The front left wheel of his car locked up which prevented him from being able to take turn three, forcing the 34-year-old to use the run off.Despite there being initial concern the German would crash into the wall after losing control, the four-time F1 world champion executed a brilliant turn which saw him complete a 180 before returning to the track in one swift movement. He avoided Yuki Tsunoda as he returned to the track and had to let him past meaning he lost his position to the Japanese.Sebastian VettelBAHRAIN, BAHRAIN - MARCH 10: Sebastian Vettel of Germany and Aston Martin F1 Team walks in the Paddock during Day One of F1 Testing at Bahrain International Circuit on March 10, 2022 in Bahrain, Bahrain. One fan tweeted; “That spin turn from Vettel is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen,” whilst another said; “That was such a badass donut turn it was amazing.”Vettel spoke to F1.com about the incident after the race. He said: “I think I was already past Esteban then I braked a bit late because I was sure he’s gonna battle for it.

"But I wasn’t quite sure, so I took the emergency lane and lost a lot of time. Without that time, I think we could have had a battle for P5 on our hands. But nevertheless, I think it’s a really good result.”

Finishing in 6th place, Vettel recorded his highest position of the season so far whilst also pulling off one of the most memorable moments of the entire competition.
