Martin Brundle has said he is not surprised Mercedes are speaking about porpoising a lot at the moment, given how much it is impacting their performance.

The Silver Arrows have had a, literally, up and down season so far with the porpoise effect being caused by the new aerodynamic regulations hitting them particularly hard.

Indeed, whilst some teams seem to have found the solution to the problem, the Mercs once again struggled with it in Baku, and perhaps to a greater extent than we have seen thus far this season.

Post-race in Azerbaijan, Lewis Hamilton looked to be really suffering, too, with him gingerly getting out of his W13 and holding his back, before telling the media in Baku that it was the worst he had had it and then posting on Instagram it feels even worse than it looks.

Naturally, that has sparked some to say the regulations need looking at over ride heights and suspension but, of course, other teams are going to say that it is a Mercedes problem, not theirs, as Brundle explains:

After Sunday there had been suggestions Hamilton might not even be fit enough to compete in Canada this weekend, though the man himself has ruled that out and said he will be driving in Montreal.

Mercedes need to do something, though, and it is hard to see rival teams agreeing to changes - particularly the ones that are not struggling.

It's a debate, then, that looks set to continue for a while yet.
