Few footballers in history, if any, have instilled fear in the opposition like Lionel Messi. From a physical standpoint, the Argentine is not a scary proposition at all. He stands at around 5 ft 7 in and is very slight in build. But it's what he can do with the ball at his feet that's had defenders around the world quivering in their boots for well over a decade.Messi is arguably the greatest dribbler the sport has ever seen, with his low centre of gravity making him virtually impossible to contain.Add in the fact that the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is a lethal finisher and a playmaker extraordinaire, you have arguably the finest footballer in history.Due to Messi's magnificence in most departments, opposing teams spend a lot of time coming up with game plans to try and limit his influence.BELO HORIZONTE, BRAZIL - JULY 02: Lionel Messi of Argentina fights for the ball with Casemiro of Brazil during the Copa America Brazil 2019 Semi Final match between Brazil and Argentina at Mineirao Stadium on July 02, 2019 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Brazil manager, Tite, was acutely aware that Messi was the man that could derail his team's quest of winning South America's biggest prize on home soil.
He even referred to the Paris Saint-Germain superstar as world's best player in one of the interviews.
Messi was the focus of Tite's teamtalk before a training session and the manager also worked on drills based around his famous free-kick against Liverpool, which beat Brazil's Alisson Becker.
All in all, the video is an absolute joy to watch.
Brazil's Messi-based preparation certainly paid dividends, as they beat their fierce international rivals 2-0.
Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring early in the first half, before Roberto Firmino added a second in the 71st minute to book a place in the final - where Tite's side beat Peru 3-1.
