The Last Stylebender’s lone loss in the UFC octagon came at UFC 259 on March 6th 2021 against the aforementioned Blachowicz.

Adesanya lost the fight via unanimous decision, therefore being unsuccessful in his attempt to become a champ-champ in the company, a feat accomplished by the likes of Amanda Nunes, Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier.

Blachowicz was able to use his significant size advantage to control the fight, making Adesanya unable to utilize his striking and having to work hard on the ground to escape Blachowicz’s superior wrestling ability.

As of writing, it is not currently known if The Last Stylebender will be attempting a return to the Light Heavyweight division, although there are many fans who would relish the opportunity to see the fighter back up against the likes of Glover Teixeira, Jiri Prochazka and possibly even Jon Jones if he ever were to return to the division where he is considered by many to be the GOAT.
