West Ham could look at signing Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer, believes Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

There has been talk about the London Stadium outfit being interested in the 25-year-old, and Taylor would not be shocked to see them make a move for him.

What is the latest news involving Zinchenko?

According to the Evening Standard, both West Ham and Arsenal want to recruit Zinchenko this transfer window.

The same outlet states that the former want him to come in to play at left-back, while the latter are offering minutes in midfield.

£22.5m-rated Zinchenko is, of course, a very versatile footballer, playing in both the aforementioned positions in his career.

As per Transfermarkt, in total, the Ukrainian has been deployed as a left-back on 123 occasions and as a midfielder on 27.

What has Taylor said about Zinchenko and West Ham?

Taylor can see David Moyes making a move for Zinchenko before the transfer window shuts.

The Daily Express journalist told GIVEMESPORT: "I think a left-back would certainly be on the agenda for West Ham. I know there was brief interest in Hassane Kamara from Watford, but nothing's really materialised from that as such.

"I think Zinchenko's versatility makes him a great option to any club, but obviously, he's got experience winning the Premier League, so yeah, I think that's one they could look at."

Would Zinchenko be a good signing for the Hammers?

Yes. As already mentioned, he offers versatility, while he is also quite experienced at this level.

For City, the 52-cap Ukraine international has made 128 appearances, winning an impressive four Premier League titles along the way.

On Zinchenko, manager Pep Guardiola said in 2019 (via talkSPORT): "Incredible is the only thing I can say. Oleks has showed me the importance and value of being a good guy.

"At the beginning of the season he was close to making a transfer, and I never saw him have one bad face or had a bad training session from him. Some players want to show me how disappointed they are, but Zinchenko is the complete opposite. When this happens, you are always going to play good.

"He is going to have a long career, here [at City] hopefully!”

It is not hard to see why Guardiola wants him to have a long spell at the Etihad. But the chance to play in midfield at Arsenal or increase his minutes at West Ham may be enough to lure Zinchenko away from the Premier League champions this summer.
