Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has teased some news being released about the champion’s future later tonight.

Back in April, Tyson Fury made the decision to walk away from professional boxing in the wake of his triumphant knockout win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium. The result took his record to 32-0-1 and as the holder of the WBC, lineal and The Ring heavyweight titles, ‘The Gypsy King’ felt as if he had nothing left to prove.

A lot of fans disagreed with this sentiment and given that he’s carried on training in the weeks since the decision, it’s not exactly surprising to see speculation mounting that he could pull a U-turn and carry on with his career.

Now, in the biggest hint yet that an announcement could be coming, Frank Warren has confirmed to talkSPORT that an interview with Fury will be released on the Queensberry Promotions YouTube channel at 7pm this evening.

“We’ve done something on the Queensberry [Promotions] YouTube which will tell everybody what is happening today.

“I think everybody is going to be happy with the interview.”

Warren went on to be asked about where Fury would fight if he was to return.

“First of all, if Tyson [Fury] fights his next fight will be in the UK,” he said.

In his own tweet, Fury also spoke about the interview and revealed there would be some ‘news’ attached to it.

“Hi everybody, Tyson Fury here. Watch my exclusive interview with Frank Warren and Dev on the Queensberry YouTube page. It’s going live tonight at 7pm, some great stuff in there and some news. All the best, see you soon, god bless.”

What’s left for Fury?

The two big ideas currently on the table both feature Fury earning the biggest payday of his boxing tenure thus far.

The first would be a mixed rules showdown with UFC champion Francis Ngannou that was heavily teased in the immediate aftermath of the Whyte win when Fury invited ‘The Predator’ into the ring with him.

The second would see Fury wait for the victor of Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2, before challenging them to an undisputed title collision that could cement his legacy as the greatest heavyweight of his generation.
