Just over a year ago, Floyd Mayweather took on Logan Paul in an exhibition bout at Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium.

The fight brought in an estimated £76,958,000 (with inflation), making both fighters a shedload of money, however Paul has claimed that he is yet to be paid in full for the fight.

Mayweather earned £52 million with Paul taking home £15 million, but the latter claims to not have been paid in full and he intends to sue the man many claim is the greatest boxer of all time.

However, Money has disputed those claims on numerous occasions, slamming Paul at his latest conference when he announced his fight against Japanese mixed martial artists Mikuru Asakura.

At the conference, Mayweather went on to say: “This is the guy who said he didn't get paid which we know is truly false, which is why I don't entertain the bullsh*t a lot of the time.

“We know he got paid and if he didn't get paid he wouldn't be trying to get another payday. It is so crazy that Logan Paul wants to do an exhibition again but it is the same guy that said he didn't get paid. It is what it is.”

Paul addressed the issues, claiming: “I've not been paid in full, that is a fact. We're just trying to collect what is rightfully ours. He came out and said this is the name of the game, this is how it works in boxing but I don't know if it is, I don't know if that's true. I think after you fight you should get paid, it doesn't take this long to count the money.

“For the longest time I bit my f****** tongue. We heard it every week, 'the money's coming next week, the money's coming next week.' Three months in I realised the money's not coming next week, so I'm offended and I've been lied to. I never thought I'd be the 'where's the money?' guy, but the only way to get this guy to move is to pipe up and embarrass him.”

When responding to rumours in the past, Mayweather has stated that Paul must be patient and that he hasn’t received a full payment for a fight in his professional career.

We don’t know who is telling the truth, but it certainly sounds like a mess. If Paul hasn’t been paid then it’s not fair on him and his team, but if he has, then he’s just using Mayweather’s name to boost his own status.
