A 265-pound MMA fighter stunned his opponent with an incredible spinning back heel kick... but still ended up losing the fight.

Chandler Cole took on Jordan Heiderman during the latest episode of 'The Ultimate Fighter' season 30 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

The two heavyweights were both competing for the chance to progress to the semi finals.

Nicknamed 'The Hammer', Cole weighed in at 264.5lbs (18st 12lb 5oz) while Heiderman came in at 247lbs (17st 6lbs 4oz)

Cole came straight out the blocks, chewing up his opponent's left leg with a couple of nasty low kicks.

Heiderman gradually started to grow into it as the first round wore on, constantly feinting and trying to switch things up.

But the fight took an interesting twist when Cole showed remarkable athleticism to catch Heiderman by surprise with a stunning kick.

In the blink of an eye, he twisted his entire body to generate enough power and catch Heiderman in the face with his right foot.

The strike stunned Heiderman, sending him crashing backwards towards the fence, with the noise reverberating around the arena.

Heiderman, 30, took a moment to recover, but he evidently had plenty of work to do in round two.

In the second round, he took control of the centre and had some success with straight punches, backing Cole back up against the cage on one occasion.

However, Cole's coach Amanda Nunes felt that he still did enough to win the fight, but the judges clearly felt otherwise as it went to 'sudden victory'.

Unsurprisingly both men came out swinging but it was Heiderman who ended up putting Cole away with some savage ground and pound at three minutes forty six seconds of the third round.

However, Cole still had something to be proud of after uploading the footage of his kick on Twitter.

The caption read: "Well… didn’t get the win, but at least I’m a role model for all dad bods around the world."

Speaking after the fight, he said: "I told myself I was going to leave it all out there, but you know with my injury and things like that I was very limited on what I could have done, but that's how this game works."

UFC president Dana White also disagreed with the judges' decision as he felt Cole had done enough to deserve the victory.

He said: "I didn't agree with the judges. I didn't think that this should have gone to a third round. But it happens so what're you going to do?

"At least in The Ultimate Fighter you have an opportunity to go out there, dig deep, and try and make it to the semis."
