There is never a dull moment in the UFC when it comes to Conor McGregor. The Notorious’ career is emblazoned with iconic events both in and out of the Octagon.

None more so than THAT press conference surrounding the bout between McGregor and Eddie Alvarez. With Madison Square Garden looming, the pair were trading blow after blow in front of the media.

Whilst McGregor himself is the usual suspect of any great controversy and entertainment, it was a fake reporter that had everyone in attendance laughing.

Everything seemed innocuous enough until the McGregor fan got into the groove.

“Eddie Alvarez, you’ve been mentioning that Conor McGregor isn’t a championship fighter," is how he started. Next came a lude tirade at Alvarez.

"He only has 2-3 rounds, yet in your professional career you’ve only went to the fifth round twice and lost one of ’em what the f*** are you talking about, mother-f***er?!”

No one responded better to the comment than McGregor himself, he burst into laughter and exclaimed: "He has a suit and a tie and everything, I love it."

The facts behind the fan’s claims weren’t necessarily hitting the nail on the head but in the heat of the moment, that got overlooked by most people in the audience. McGregor himself wasn’t too fazed by it either, he was lapping up the attention and laughs.

This event from six years ago was one of many famous moments from McGregor in the world of the media. Up there with this McGregor vs Alvarez one is when the Irishman brutally put down Jeremy Stephens.

“Who the f**k is that guy?” followed by his infectious laugh was the savage line he delivered against the man from Des Moines, Iowa.

Alvarez is from a different kettle of fish and it took a McGregor fan and a couple of swear words to shut him down.
