Liverpool signing Calvin Ramsay should allow Neco Williams to leave Anfield, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The teenager was announced as Jurgen Klopp's third summer addition on Sunday, although Jones reckons his arrival will mark the end of Williams' stay on Merseyside.

What's the latest news involving Ramsay and Williams?

According to The Times, Liverpool had agreed a £4m deal with Aberdeen for Ramsay, who's set to provide competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.

The report states that Ramsay will become Klopp's final signing of the summer, with Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez joining from Fulham and Benfica already.

Meanwhile, 90min believe Fulham are hoping to sign Williams on a permanent deal after his loan spell at Craven Cottage in the second half of last season, in which he scored twice and assisted twice in 15 outings and helped the Londoners return to the Premier League.

Williams, who earns £25,000 per-week, has never been a regular at Liverpool but did make 33 appearances in all competitions and was once described by Klopp as a 'monster' for the way he trained.

However, despite signing a contract less than two years ago, Jones reckons he might have played his last game for the Reds.

What did Jones say about Ramsay and Williams?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "One of the things it will do is lead to the exit of Neco Williams. Fulham are obviously in the hunt for him and do expect to sign him at this point. It'll be interesting to see how Liverpool react to that.

"There's no doubt Calvin Ramsay is good, but there's some people that felt like Williams was the perfect player to follow on from Trent, so it's an interesting decision from Liverpool."

Is Fulham a good move for Williams?

Fulham's fortunes next season will ultimately prove the answer to this question, but on paper, returning to west London looks the best move for the 21-year-old.

Playing in the top-flight represents a different challenge to the Championship, especially given his lack of Premier League experience, but he should arrive back at Craven Cottage and walk straight back into the side.

And with the World Cup now just six months away, playing regular top level football will surely be top of Williams' priority list at this stage of his career, which is exactly what Fulham can offer.
